We’re gaining dog here at about 2.2 pounds a month. We’re going to need some help if this continues.

Abby has lost a limb, but she and Roxie have gained a friend.

Peanut, left, showed up inside our fenced yard about a month ago.  Full name: Peanut Noir. We have made reasonable attempts to locate his (former) owners.

On the day he found us the Nut was fierce. He barked nonstop, flew back and forth across our yard at high speed, traded gossip and snarls with Abby and Roxie.  (He had them both at Woof.)

With a little patience, Holly domesticated the wild Peanut. And now we are five.

Abby watch

Abby was hit by a car yesterday and we’re waiting on a proposal from the vet.

Her front left leg might be fixable, but it might not. Stay tuned.

If a recession comes . . .

. . . they’ll be eating dog food.

Road trip!

Where are we going? Are we there yet? When’s dinner? Can we make a stop? Where’s Holly? Will there be squirrels? When did you say dinner was?

Peformance review

The review was conducted in October. The interviewer noted that “Both subjects were sullen and uncooperative, possibly in anticipation of  layoffs.”

Question 1: “How would you describe your roles in the organization?”

1) To provide support services for Steve and Holly.

2) Don’t know, don’t care.

3) Don’t understand the question.

4) When’s dinner?
